Granada Geopark – 10th European Geoparks Week 2026

The Granada Geopark celebrates the 10th European Geoparks Week 2026, an initiative that once again unites all UNESCO Global Geoparks in Europe around a common goal: bringing the value of these territories closer to the public, where geodiversity, culture, memory, science, and sustainable development form part of a single shared identity. From Quo Wadis Tours, experts in guided tours in Guadix, we encourage you to take advantage of this extraordinary week to discover the Geopark in all its depth.
A particularly significant tenth edition
This tenth edition arrives at a key moment for the Granada Geopark. One year has passed since the signing and implementation of the Landscape Charter, a pioneering instrument of governance and participation that reinforces the territory’s commitment to conservation, landscape quality, and balanced development.
Additionally, the new Technical Office celebrates its first year of operation, consolidating a stable structure at the service of municipalities, businesses, entities, and the local population.
“An invitation to discover, learn about, and feel the Geopark from within, walking its landscapes, listening to its stories, and recognizing the value of those who inhabit it.”
Ecotourism as a territorial driver: 52 certified companies
In the past year, a new step has been taken in the commitment to ecoturism as a real opportunity for development. The certification of a new batch of 12 partner companies brings the total number of accredited entities to 52 within the Spanish Ecotourism Club, strengthening a network of professionals dedicated to high-quality tourism experiences linked to the territory, conservation, and local authenticity.
